Job Description Essential Job Functions:


 

  • Responsible for Tier 1 privacy support to FINRA staff by:Independently remediating issues and providing advice on routine data privacy inquiries and timely escalating more complex issues to the department subject matter expert.Independently assessing Loss Reports and independently addressing low to moderate complexity data losses (mishandling of FINRA Information) as reported by staff. Timely escalating more complex losses to DPP management for handling.Responding to email inquiries and calls from staff, as well as Information Managers or their delegates.

 
 

  • Responsible for Tier 1 support of DPP’s Loss Report intake process:Maintain and troubleshoot Loss Report technology and process functions, responding to DPP and staff inquiries regarding process.Ensure appropriate entry and documentation for all reported incidents.Run routine and ad hoc reports and research incidents when required by other departments or regulators.

 
 

  • Identify, research, analyze, and present DPP-related statistics such as data loss trends, phishing failure rates, and DPP’s training initiatives.

● Working with DPP leadership, manage the corporate Information Privacy and Protection Policy annual and new hire course completions including reporting, tracking staff progress, and coordinating non-compliance escalations.


 

  • Manage beta-testing requirements for current, new, and enhanced, technology solutions in DPP as well as new end-user/staff procedures put in place to implement data privacy policy requirements. Manage the beta-testing of DPP annual and ongoing staff certification and training courses.

  • Track and archive Departments’ Privacy and Protection Guides and manage department follow-up on DPP required changes and amendments to DIPPGs (Department IPPP Guides)
  • Responsible for developing and managing project plans for assigned initiatives in support of DPP projects requiring multiple tasks/assignments such as the implementation of new policies or responses to audit or assessment inquiries

Education/Experience Requirements:


 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and a minimum of three (3) years of related professional experience required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated writing and planning skills required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing operational processes.
  • Familiarity with Windows-based computer applications and required proficiency using Microsoft Office Suites, specifically Excel, MS Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
